Nude Acrylic Nails

Nude is the quiet luxury of nail looks. The right shade makes hands look longer. The wrong one looks chalky.

Quick answer

Choose a nude that matches your undertone: caramel and peach for warm, rosy for cool, mocha and cocoa for deeper skin. Nude hides regrowth better than dark shades.

Match the undertone

  • Warm undertones: caramel, peach and honey nudes.
  • Cool undertones: rosy and mauve nudes.
  • Deep skin tones: rich mocha, cocoa and toffee shades look natural. Pale beige can look grey.

Ask your technician to swatch two or three shades on one nail before committing.

Finishes

Glossy reads classic. Matte looks modern but shows wear sooner. A nude base also works under a French tip or chrome topcoat.

Shapes

Almond and oval look elegant in nude. Short square is the practical choice. For drama, try nude on long coffin.

Why nude is forgiving

Regrowth at the base is less obvious with a nude than with a dark colour, so a nude set can look neat a little longer between infills.
